ŠTEDRÁK KysnutÝ kolÁČ

You will need: 1/2 pound of flour, 1 egg yolk, 2 and 1/2 ounces of icing sugar, 3 ounces of oil or butter, 1 ounce of yeast and about one cup of milk. Mix these ingredients to a dough of good consistency and let it rise. Cut to five equal portions.

Filling I: 4 and 1/2 ounces of pealed walnuts, 4 ounces of icing sugar, water and ground cinnamon.

Filling II: 4 and 1/2 ounces of poppy seeds, 4 ounces of icing sugar, water and vanilla sugar.

Filling III: 5 ounces of plum jam, 1 and 1/2 ounces of icing sugar, water, ground cinnamon, raspberry syrup and one spoon of rum.

Filling IV: 5 ounces of cottage cheese, 1 yolk, 1 spoon of icing sugar, lemon grinds from 1/2 lemon, vanilla sugar, show from one egg white, 1 spoon of flour.

Roll out each portion and put one on a well-greased baking pan and cover it with filling I. Roll out the second dough portion and cover it with filling II. Continue alternating dough and filling until you come to filling IV.

Last layer of dough could be split in half. One portion rolled out very thin and the other portion made to strings and used to form a grid as decoration.

Let it rise a bit more. Poke with fork and brush with egg yolk. Bake until golden. Cut up to squares when cold.
