ANNIVERSARY OF FOLKLORE ENSEMBLE

Over
the years the folklore group DETVA took part in different folklore festivals,
performances and competitions in Slovakia and abroad where it obtained several
awards. The temperament dances and love songs from Podpolanie region had been
performed to spectators in France, Poland, Hungary, Germany, former Soviet
Union, former Yugoslavia, Italy, Romania, Czech republic, Algeria, Sweden and
Switzerland. The 30th anniversary Gala program named “DETVA, YOUNG EVEN
NOW”, started with video projection about their travels abroad, and
their founders Juraj Ďurica and Vladimír Polívka.
